The Nordic Animist Year - by Dr. Rune Hjarnø Rasmussen
North Europeans have a large reservoir of traditional animist knowledge which is largely forgotten or rejected. This book introduces traditional seasonal animism. It describes how the runic calendar works and how the cycles of the sun and moon defines traditional life through a host of holidays, both Heathen and folkloric.
The book can stand alone as an introduction to seasonal animism that can be revisited year after year, or it can be used as the manual for the Nordic Lunisolar Calendar.
